The Fountain of Wealth

This past weekend we ventured out again. In fact, there's so much to write about, I'm going to have to split it up. Friday night we went to dinner at Clarke Quay. It's a riverwalk type of area with restaurants of all shapes and varieties. Since we've been eating a LOT of "Chicken Rice", we decided to try mexican. We had a great dinner sitting outside along the river with a pitcher of margaritas (although they were frozen - Dave still enjoyed them). Mexican food in Singapore was pretty similar to US Mexican food except there's very little cheese. Funny thing was, we didn't even notice it while we were eating.

Next stop was the Fountain of Wealth. The Guiness Book named it the World's Largest Fountain and if you touch the water, and walk around the fountain 3 times it's supposed to bring you wealth. In addition, a few times per night, they show a short laser show that's projected on the water screen of the fountain. We even got our family name into the show!!!

Not a bad start to the weekend huh???

Bigger than the Bellagio's 9 acre lake, with its 460' (140m) Extreme Shooters? Guess we know where Danny and Rusty will be standing when they close the deal on Ocean's 14.
